I’m an epic fantasy author from Costa Rica, where rainforests, volcanoes, and rich coastlines have shaped the way I imagine worlds and tell stories. I’m currently writing Book One of an epic fantasy series set in a tropical world shaped by crystal magic, forgotten history, and the choices that define us. While fantasy is where my publishing journey begins, I’m drawn to stories of many kinds and hope to explore other genres in the years ahead.
I’ve always believed that stories help us understand ourselves—and each other.
As a teenager, I wrote fantasy stories and poems. Long before I thought about publication, writing was simply how I made sense of the world. Life eventually took me in a different direction, and for many years those stories remained unwritten. But they never truly left.
In 2018, while traveling through Europe, a handful of places sparked an idea that refused to let go. In early 2020, I finally sat down to write the story that had been growing in my imagination. What began as a single idea eventually grew into The Spirit Mage Series, a series that has become my way of exploring the questions that have fascinated me for as long as I can remember.
I love fantasy because it creates just enough distance from our own world to explore difficult questions with an open mind. Through imagined places and extraordinary circumstances, we can examine very real experiences—identity, belonging, courage, responsibility, and the relationships that shape who we become. Whatever genre I write, those are the questions that continue to draw me back to the page.
My stories are deeply character-driven. While you’ll find adventure, richly imagined worlds, and magic in my series, the heart of every book is the people who inhabit it: the friendships they build, the families they find, the difficult choices they face, and the hope they discover even when the path forward seems impossible.
One theme you’ll encounter again and again in my work is this: no one has to face life’s greatest challenges alone. I hope my stories remind readers that there is always room for growth, that we are more than the limits we may feel, and that empathy often begins when we’re willing to see beyond our own perspective.
When I’m not writing, you’ll usually find me exploring nature with my dog, Moana, reading, traveling to places where history comes alive, or gathering around a table for a board game with friends. I’m endlessly inspired by forests, coastlines, ancient cities, and the countless ways landscapes shape the people who live within them.
Thank you for stopping by. Whether you’re here because you’ve already stepped into my world or are simply curious about the journey ahead, I’m grateful you’re here. I hope my stories transport you to unforgettable places, introduce you to characters who stay with you long after the final page, and, above all, remind you that we’re never as alone as we sometimes believe.
